Game runs fine as is. Limit the FPS or change the TDP to increase the battery life.

Everything is working as intended, and better performances than on windows taking into account my hardware.
prime-run %command%
Just use Steam Input and it is solved

I also tried GE-Proton8-25, besides the default Proton.
The game would crash after an hour or so. Unfortunetely, it's unplayable to me in this state.

Stops automatically
1 second after clicking on the "play" icon, the game closes and you can press the icon again.

Runs (almost) like a dream! Some crackling audio, and you may want to change the default resolution.
Refresh rate/FPS limit to 40
Some crackling every so often, especially when switching to and from dock
40fps to save battery a bit altough the game is not that battery hungery.
When in a fight sequence in the game, putting the Deck in sleep-mode for a while will give a slight stutter in sound effects when continueing. Just save and reboot.
This game should be verified. It runs great 'out of the box.'
As many mentioned resolution needs to be set and the game runs flawless stable 60. Should be verified.
The only thing that one has to do is to manually change resolution to 1280x800, checking graphics configuration is something that anyone does when launching a game even in Windows, I don't think the game should not be categorized as "Steam Verified" just because of this, this works even better than in my Windows 10 Laptop.
Honestly, the fact that the game doesn't automatically pick up the 1280x800 screen resolution (and defaults to 1280x720) is a poor reason this game doesn't show as fully supported in Steam for the Steam Deck. Changing the resolution is something a PC gamer might/should expect. Sure, put it in the notes for how supported it is, but it runs flawlessly and the store should reflect that.
Works perfectly out of the box.
Game works straight from launch. By default, the resolution is not set to 1280 by 800 but this can be updated immediately and easily. Average battery life at max settings lockd at 60 FPS is around 4 hours.
Funciona perfectamente sin hacer nada. Simplemente instalar y funcionar, exactamente igual que en Windows.
Funciona perfecto.

With Proton 3.16-8 + amdgpu this game works PERFECTLY. Older versions of Proton (such as 3.7-8) will have a slightly green color all over the graphics, not so noticeable at first glance. The game Bloodstained suffers the same problem. With the latest versions of Proton (> 4.2) this game performs with high GPU loads and high CPU loads in equipment menus.

This game doesn't detect input right away. But we have Steam Input to overcome this problem. (The Steam Play joystick management program).
If your distro has a package called steam-devices, please install it. Check if uinput is loaded: $ lsmod | grep uinput If it's not loaded then load it as root: # modprobe uinput To autoload the module at boot time add uinput in the /etc/modules file
Jogo roda bem, manteve-se o desempenho observado em outras versões antigas do proton
Acredito que a maior estranheza está no tempo de resposta para conhecer o controle do Xbox One, demora de 30 a 60 segundos em média, acho que poderia ser mais rápido.

Flawless experience
My previous concern about controller not immediately working has now gone in the latest stable release (7.0)

7.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
If you used controller, it doesn't work immediately. Wait a few seconds before you can use it
You have to disable Steam Input for this game.
Runs perfectly
Not only does it work perfectly out of the box, but it also works perfectly on Steam Link hardware despite the host being Linux... this is the only Windows game that I've gotten to run on Steam Link through a Linux host
Works Great in Proton 6.3-5
I played with:
- Resolution 1280x720(16:9)
- update monitor rate: 60Hz (Vsync)
- configured game in "High Video Mode"
Results: FPS 50-60
Did not work on latest experimental, was able to run on Proton 5.0-10
Opening video did not play
Runs well out of the box
used gamemoderun and mangohud
Game performance was great and stable out of the box.
Runs like native
Works perfectly out of the box. It's kinda surprising that this even runs on my hardware, given that I only have integrated graphics.
Everything worked well out of the box, including a snes-style usb gamepad (no antimicro/qjoypad needed)
Worked perfectly out of the box on Proton 5.0-10 all throughout my 100% achievement run
Proton 5.13-1 was still new when I started playing, and I typically skip X.X-1 releases until they have matured, so I used 5.0-10 exclusively for this run, and it is very stable.
Runs perfectly with Proton 5.0-10
I recently updated Proton to version 5.13-1 but the game did not launch using this version. Changing game properties in Steam to force use of Proton 5.0-10 launched the game successfully. Runs perfectly well with this version and no issues encountered so far.
Worked out of the box--small issue with Xbox One controller
Controller worked perfectly. After about 10 minutes it was no longer responsive. After setting Steam's Controller Options to Forced Off for this game it worked perfectly.
Perfect! Really impressive how far proton has come.
Initially I had trouble getting my XBOX One controller (wired) caught by the game, but I rebooted and it worked instantly, so although I'm leaning towards this being an issue with my PC over the game, I'll note it just in case.

Game would work with two simple tweaks.
Even if Steam recognizes the controller (Xbox 360), when you use Proton the controller inputs don't seem to be correct, and most are missing. Disabled the Steam inputs and used QJoyPad to map the controller to the game.
My game will only run if, in the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS, in the game Properties, in Steam, I add the command, PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% . If this still does not work, leave the command in place and attempt to use earlier versions of Proton, 4.7, 3.0, etc and keep attempting to start the game. Eventually some version will work, then go back up the chart and use the highest version that will load correctly.
Game will not recognize Xbox 360 controller when using Proton even though it is recognized by Mint. Easy workaround is to disable the controller in Steam, install QJoyPad from the Software Manager, then simply map the controller to the keyboard. Be sure to save using the UPDATE button when done.
It works perfectly
Very playable, had a great time!
Could be related to the graphics drivers and/or older GPU architecture. Tried both LLVM and ACO shader compilers on both Mesa 19.3 and Mesa 20, but sometimes there is very minor shader artifacting.
Played the game for 60 hours so far. In long gameplay sessions, the UE4 engine may crash when browsing the UI after playing for many hours straight. Very rare issue, only happened to me 3 times.
